Systems Administrator

StraCon Services Group, LLC is seeking a Full-Time Systems Administrator. 
The Systems Administrator will be responsible for the installation, configuration, operation and maintenance of all company hardware, software and related infrastructure. This individual will ensure that all StraCon hardware, operating systems, software and related procedures adhere to organizational standards, values and strategic plan. This individual will work with team members, project teams and other departments in expanding or implementing new systems that meet organizational needs. Collaborate with team members on other projects and in the development of procedures and the transfer of knowledge regarding StraCon IT systems. Additionally, the Systems Administrator be responsible for, but not limited to, the following requirements:

Experience Requirements:
  •  Five (5) years of system admin experience, to include: Design, Development, Test and Evaluation, Network Protocols, LAN administration fundamentals, and Windows based operating system
  • Windows Domain Administration
    • Active Directory Management
    • GPO Development
    • DNS configuration and troubleshooting
    • Network Printer Management
  • Windows Patch Management and WSUS Management
  • Server Development (Research, Install, and Configure new server technologies)
  • VMware vSphere Administration
  • Familiarity with deploying Windows Images via MDT/WDS 
  • MS 365 and MS Teams Administration 
  • Must be able to lift items up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and be able to crouch or crawl under desks
  • Must be familiar with proper documentation of Information Systems and their inner workings
  • Ability to present information effectively and respond to questions from staff in a professional manner is required
  • Must be able to maintain a positive, can-do attitude while dealing with stressful situations
  • Experience with Fortinet products is a plus
  • Working knowledge of DFARS 252.204-7012 and NIST SP 800-171 is a plus
  • Experience with ITIL framework is a plus
Job Duties
  • Install, configure, test, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot servers, and end user workstation hardware, software, peripheral devices, VoIP phones, accounts, and cabling
  • Maintain optimum overall systems performance levels
  • Design, edit and implement enterprise system architecture along with IT plan and company policies
  • Serve as internal consultant on evaluation of new technology
  • Maintain appropriate records, logs and reporting of support activities
  • Create, maintain, monitor, and test backups
  • Test and apply OS, security patches and system upgrades as needed
  • Create, change and remove AD users, mailboxes and other resources as requested
  • Maintain inventory of desktops, laptops, tablets, licenses, VoIP phones, and remote routers
  • Provide support per request from various departments including after-hours support
  • Repair and recover from hardware or software failures. Report and communicate with stakeholders and management
  Educational Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in one of the following… Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Systems & Network Administration or related field
  • Must possess CompTIA Security+, and Network+, otherwise should attain within 90 days after date of hire
