Financial Analyst

StraCon Services Group, LLC is seeking a Full-Time Financial Analyst in support of multiple programs for the corporate office.
 
Responsibilities:

  • Provides financial and accounting support to the Finance/Accounting Department and Program Management team
  • Performs managerial/cost accounting, budgeting, funding execution, manpower management, workload, acquisition, document management, system support, and financial analyses to provide efficient allocation and effective utilization of financial resources
  • Review and analyze information, forecasts, methods, schedules, systems, processes and procedures to identify improvements that would increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Develop recommendations to improve cost control and efficiency to meet business goals
  • Identify and maximize opportunities to utilize computer systems resources to collect data
  • Supports a variety of management activities, corporate initiatives, special projects, and data calls which could have a significant impact on the organization and business operations
  • Applies policies and procedures for financial planning
  • Prepares, reviews, and approves monthly invoicing, reporting, reconciliations, contract modifications, and other financial transactions
  • Perform other duties as assigned 
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Computer literate with advanced proficiency in Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Strong technical knowledge and analytical skills
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Good interpersonal skills with ability to work well with all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Experience developing, executing, and tracking Purchase Requests (PRs)
  • Experience with Deltek Costpoint is preferred
  • Knowledge of FAR/DFARS is a plus
Minimum Requirements:
  • BA/BS degree with at least 3 years of experience in business analysis and process improvement
  • Allowable substitutions:
    • An AS or AA degree and an additional four (4) years of experience
    • Six (6) years of experience may be substituted for a BS or BA degree 
Security Requirements:
  • U.S. Citizenship required
